She led with purpose, carried herself with maturity, and had a way of speaking that made people listen. Even as a student, it was clear that she had a vision beyond the classroom. After high school, Abera Martina stepped into the spotlight as a moderator for Miss Rwanda. Her presence on stage was effortless she knew how to engage a crowd while remaining true to herself. That natural gift for communication soon opened more doors, and she began building a name in Rwanda’s media scene. Today, Martina works as a TV personality at RBA specifically at KC2 channel, where she uses her voice to tell meaningful stories and bring important conversations to life. Her journey from prefect to public figure is a beautiful reminder that leadership starts early, and when nurtured with passion and consistency, it can grow into something po...

How I fell in love with China 🇨🇳

Image
Visiting China was one of the most incredible journeys of my life. From exploring ancient palaces to experiencing thrilling adventures in Zhangjiajie, and tasting authentic spicy hot pot meals, this trip offered a perfect blend of culture, nature, and friendship. My journey began at one of the largest airports in China, where the scale and efficiency amazed me. The modern infrastructure set the tone for a country that beautifully combines tradition and innovation. During my trip, I stayed at the Lushan Hotel in Changsha, a city known for its rich history and vibrant culture. The hotel provided a peaceful and welcoming environment after busy days of sightseeing. One of my first cultural experiences was visiting the Palace of the First King of China. Walking through the ancient halls, I felt the deep historical significance that makes China’s heritage so rich. In  Jianghie, I found serenity among stunning natural landscapes. This peaceful area was perfect for slowing down and apprec...

The Story of Pastor Julienne Kabanda

Image
I wasn’t always the woman people see preaching and testifying today. There was a time I was completely lost living a life that, if you had told me I’d one day stand in a church as a pastor, I would’ve laughed or maybe cried. Back then, my life was broken. I was searching for love in all the wrong places, caught in cycles of pain, shame, and sin. I didn’t know my worth. I didn’t think I mattered. I remember one Sunday morning clearly. I wasn’t planning to go to church not really. I had just come from a hard night, and I was wearing a short trouser, not even thinking much about it. People stared at me when I walked in, and some whispered. I could feel their judgment, but something stronger kept me in my seat. Deep down, I needed something I didn’t even understand. Then the pastor started preaching. He spoke about the woman caught in adultery the one Jesus didn’t condemn, but forgave. I felt like he was talking directly to me. My heart broke. I cried. I didn’t care who was watching. T...

A Different Kind of Leader

Image
Not all leaders wear suits or sit in big offices. Some lead from the streets, the markets, and small neighborhood corners. That’s exactly the kind of leader Clarisse Iradukunda is. She’s only 27, but in her community of Kimisagara, everyone knows her name. Not because she’s famous, but because she shows up. Whether it’s a youth meeting, a community clean-up, or a family in need, Clarisse is always there quietly making a difference. Her journey started during COVID-19. Many families were struggling, especially young people who had dropped out of school or lost small jobs. Instead of complaining, Clarisse started gathering people around her. She called a few friends, and they began making soap from local ingredients. At first, it was just to help families stay clean. But soon, it became something bigger. That small group became Twese Hamwe Cooperative a youth-led project focused on skills like tailoring, gardening, and small business. They didn’t wait for outside help. They s...
